Grading & Feedback

Notes on how Dr. Klein grades papers and what it means you should do. He uses two tools: a highlighter and a pencil.

When Dr. Klein:

1. Highlights main terms/words/phrases/sentences in each paragraph.
  • In beginning of paragraph (You need to state the main point)
  • Highlights multiple elements in the paragraph (Make sure your thesis includes all the main points you are going to write about)

2. Squiggle lines below a word with a pencil it means there is an unclear, problematic content.
  • If he underlines the word "I" or "you", it means there is a voice problem meaning that you must choose one voice throughout your paper.
  • When using the word "text" be more specific on what you are referring to.
