Grading and Feedback for Analysis Paper

Grading and Feedback
Portfolio= 0/1 (turned in or not)
(Highlighter and Pencil are used)
Highlighter- to highlight main words, phrases, sentences (salient elements in the paragraph)
reason: -to indicate what he thought was the main idea of the paragraph
- help figure you out if the reader was able to figure what your main idea was
- main idea in the beginning paragraph (doesn't always have to be in the beginning)
- ex. introductory paragraph= at the end of the paragraph
- double highlighting within the paragraph
reason: two main points- so combine them, break them apart, etc.
Pencil- squiggle lines below unclear, problematic elements
- but the error/problem is not indicated
reason: Because Dr. Klein wants you to think about it-
-"Why does the reader think there is a problem there?"
- used to points things out
- circle or underline with a pencil
reason: problem with voice
- ex. "voice" -> I, You, We, Us (omitting it is a technique, then stick to that technique)
-check marks
reason: good point
-merging of paragraphs
