CommLab has opened this week in its new, shiny space on the fourth floor of the Clough Learning Commons (447). You are cordially invited to come by and check out our facilities and the services we offer.
So, what is CommLab?
CommLab promotes excellence in WOVEN communication—written, oral, visual, electronic, and nonverbal—in ways that enable members of the Georgia Tech community to have greater success in their academic and workplace careers as well as in their civic and community lives.
Professional tutors are available to guide students on everything from their multimodal projects for writing and communication courses to graduate school applications and resumes, from engineering and science reports to team presentations, from storyboards for videos to poster design.
While tutors cannot simply proofread or edit student work, they can help students develop skills and strategies to become more proficient developers and editors of their own work.
When is CommLab open to students?
Mon - 9:00am to 9:00 pm
Tues -9:00am to 11:00am; 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Wed- 11:00am to 9:00 pm
Thurs - 9:00am to 11:00am; 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Fri - 9:00am to 3:00 pm
Sat - Closed
Sun - 5:00pm to 9:00pm
(closed on breaks and holidays)
Students can make appointments at https://www.academicsupport.gatech.edu/
Please select "Communication Center" to make an appointment. Students are also welcome to walk in. However, if they come in without an appointment, they might have to wait for an open slot.
